Supervise the operation and maintenance of all company vehicles and equipment. Ensure efficient motorpool operations and coordinate with site engineers to improve productivity and reduce breakdowns.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Motivate and inspire teams
- Identify and utilize subordinate strengths
- Facilitate, lead, and participate in daily and weekly Motorpool meetings
- Assist in resolving serious site operation complaints and escalated issues
- Ensure every equipment mechanic is trained and develops troubleshooting techniques
- Supervise the daily work activities of all mechanics on-site
- Create strategic recommendations to improve operator and equipment productivity
- Develop systems and processes to promote departmental improvements, including minimizing equipment breakdowns
- Oversee the preventive and corrective maintenance of heavy equipment and vehicles
- Coordinate with the GPS department; maintain an inventory of departmental vehicles/equipment
- Consolidate, analyze, collect, and tabulate mileage information, fuel entries, and other data relevant to Motorpool for proper recording and documentation
- Run reports to ensure vehicles/equipment are serviced promptly; visually inspect required part samples from job sites and facilitate part distribution based on requisitions
- Establish and implement policies, procedures, and standards for proper equipment utilization, and provide incident reports for any equipment abuse or misuse
- Maintain vehicle Work Orders and Issues through the Fleet System; coordinate with project engineers at sites to provide effective solutions to all vehicle issues
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications & Skills
- Licensed Mechanical Engineer
- At least 5 years of working experience in the related field
- Required Skills: Leadership, Computer literate, analytical and problem-solving skills, driving skills, excellent supervisorial skills, excellent oral and written communication skills
