Job Summary
The Helper Mechanic assists the mechanic in the repair, maintenance, and servicing of company vehicles, trucks, and equipment to ensure they are in good and safe working condition.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist the mechanic with vehicle and equipment repairs.
- Help with routine maintenance, oil changes, and basic servicing.
- Assist in checking and troubleshooting mechanical problems.
- Prepare and organize tools, parts, and materials.
- Clean and maintain the motorpool, tools, and equipment.
- Assist in the removal and installation of vehicle parts.
- Follow safety procedures when handling tools and equipment.
- Report any vehicle or equipment problems to the mechanic or supervisor.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- With or without experience; mechanical experience is an advantage.
- Willing to learn and work under the supervision of a mechanic.
- Hardworking, reliable, and physically fit.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and vehicle maintenance is an advantage.
- Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Willing to be assigned in other project sites
- Willing to work overtime when required.
