Backhoe Operator

Job Summary:

The Backhoe Operator is responsible for safely operating the backhoe to excavate, dig, load, level, and move soil and other materials at the project site.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate the backhoe safely and properly.
• Perform digging, excavation, loading, backfilling, and leveling work.
• Inspect the backhoe before and after operation.
• Report equipment damage, defects, or mechanical problems immediately.
• Follow instructions from the Supervisor or Foreman.
• Maintain proper awareness of workers, equipment, and surroundings.
• Follow all site safety rules and wear required PPE.
• Keep the equipment clean and properly maintained.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Previous backhoe operating experience is preferred.
• With valid driver's / operator's license.
• Knowledge of basic equipment operation and safety procedures.
• Physically fit and safety-conscious.
• Willing to work on project sites and extended hours when required.
